B-Source

Two thirds of all Swiss banks use some kind of outsourcing services (IT and Banking processes). In this breakout-session and based on customers' experience, B-Source will discuss benefits, drivers and key issues for Retail and Private Banks in outsourcing their IT and/or Back Office services to an external provider.

Speaker : Dr Hendrik van Gammeren is Head of Market & Clients of B-Source since 2000. Born in 1955, he attended the University of Amsterdam from 1985 to 1987, where he was an Analyst and lecturer. He holds an Executive MBA from Northwestern University at Kellogg, Chicago and has completed a Ph.D. in Economics. Prior to joining B-Source, he worked for Zurich Financial Services where he held the positions of Head of ‘Group Systems Integration’, Head of ‘Group IT Strategy and Standards’, Head of ‘Regional IT North and Latin America’, and Head of ‘Corporate Information Engineering’. He was Head of mainframe support and case tools at Comporsys AG from 1989–1991.

Clearstream Services

There is a broad concensus that SaaS (Software as a Service) is going to have major impact on the way Business will perform in the coming years. SaaS is gaining acceptance on the market and the todays financial crisis will with no doubt accelerate the movement. The Software as a Service model is the mature realistic version of the old ASP model and will in the near future integrate business functions provided in a BPO environment.
Speaker : Michel Rodriguez joined in 2001 Clearstream Services, the IT subsidiary of Clearstream, part of the Deutsche Börse Group. Currently he is responsible for the PSF activities as Head of IT External Business of Clearstream Services S.A. He started his career in the late 70’s in Luxembourg where he had several management positions in the services sector. Before joining Clearstream he was Managing Director of the Luxembourg subsidiary of an international services company.

Benoît Wtterwulghe, IT and Operations Department at Compagnie de Banque Privée Benoît Wtterwulghe began his career as an fund manager with Bacob Bank. He was then appointed a director of stock broker Delta Lloyd Securities and member of its Executive Committee, in charge of all support services, notably including IT, finance, back office and human resources. In 1999, he joined the consulting firm Accenture as Senior Manager specialising in banking processes. Before joining to CBP, he oversaw key project management teams at BNP Paribas Luxembourg, and was responsible for the centralisation of order execution, back-office and custody for European private banking entities.
