Dominique Valschaerts, CEO of Finesti

Dominique Valschaerts has been chief executive officer of Finesti since April 2000. He also sits on the executive board of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange, the parent company of Finesti, where he is responsible for the IT department and commercial activities.

Finesti’s sole focus is the collection, management and dissemination of information related to investment funds. This includes, among other activities, providing tools for the secure transmission of fund regulatory reports to the CSSF and the Banque centrale du Luxembourg.

During his time with Finesti, Dominique Valschaerts has greatly contributed to the enhancement of the quality and completeness of the Finesti fund database. He has overseen the implementation of an overarching strategy that has resulted in Finesti covering the entire fund industry in Luxembourg and the opening up of Finesti services to European funds.

Previously, from 1987 to 1998, he held a number of functions at the Brussels Stock Exchange, first as legal advisor, then as chief executive officer and member of the executive board. During this time, he contributed to the streamlining of the overall administrative and financial procedures as well as to the implementation of new market activity structures.

Dominique Valschaerts is a Belgian national and has a Law Degree from Université Catholique de Louvain.
